COLORADO SPRINGS, CO—The National Wheelchair Basketball Association today named the 28 athletes who are invited to the tryout for the US Wheelchair Basketball national team. The Charlottesville Cardinals’ Chris Robinson is one of the selected players.
“We’re delighted that Chris was selected for the tryout,” said coach Tom Vandever. “I’ve always considered Chris to be one of the premier Class I players in the country and I’m very proud of him.”
The 28 athletes will be competing to become part of the 18-player national pool that will be named following the tryout.
The tryout will be held at the USOC training facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the end of May. The US team is coached by Ron Lykins, who is currently the head coach of the University of Missouri intercollegiate wheelchair basketball program.
