Charlottesville Cardinals Remain at #14 in Latest National Ranking

Jan 23, 2014

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO–The National Wheelchair Basketball Association today released its latest national rankings and named the Charlottesville Cardinals as the #14 team.

The Cardinals retained their 14th-ranking despite losses to the #1 Dallas Movin’ Mavericks and the #8 Atlanta Shepherd Stealers earlier this month.

“Our only losses in the NWBA’s Championship Division have come against #1 Dallas, the #3 New York Rollin’ Knicks, and the #8 Shepherd squad,” said coach Tom Vandever.  “We need a couple of quality wins to move up.”

The Cardinals will have a tough task ahead when they travel to Orlando in February and again face the 3rd-ranked Knicks, the 8th-ranked Stealers, and the 11th-ranked Orlando Magic.
