Cardinals Win Two Games in Washington, DC

Washington, DC–The Charlottesville Cardinals wheelchair basketball team traveled to Washington, DC today, played two spirited games, and came away with two wins against the Air Capitol–44-20 and 62-21.

In the day’s first game the Cardinals took a  22-13 halftime lead, eventually winning 44-20.  Mike Looney led Cardinals’ scorers with 14 and Tom Vandever added 10.

In the second game of the twin-bill Charlottesville posted a 30-10 margin at the break and went on to win 62-21.  The Cardinals’ Brandon Rush led all scorers with 23 points, while Eddie Wimbish and Mike Looney added 11 each.
