COLORADO SPRINGS, CO–The National Wheelchair Basketball Association has released its pre-season power rankings and named the Charlottesville Cardinals as the #9 team in Division II.
The Cardinals finished the 2017-18 season ranked #13 in the nation.
In Division I the New York Rollin’ Knicks are ranked #1 and in Division III the Rockford (Ill.) Chariots claimed the top ranking.
“We’ll field a talented veteran team this season,” said player-coach Tom Vandever, “and if we can keep everyone healthy we should be very competitive this year.”
Charlottesville travels to Edinboro University in Edinboro, PA to compete in the ‘Boro” Shootout this weekend.
