CHARLOTTESVILLE–The “Cville CashMob” is planning to appear at the Cardinals’ home double-header vs. the Charlotte Rollin’ Bobcats this Saturday, Oct. 13th at starting at 2:00 p.m. at Walker Middle School.
The Cville CashMob targets local small businesses and non-profits to focus attention and business on them.
The 14th-ranked Cardinals opened their 2012-13 season two weeks ago with a 65-59 victory over the Bobcats in Charlotte, but this weekend Charlottesville will be playing without high-scorer Mike Looney and will have their hands full against a Charlotte squad intent on a little payback.
“Some of our other guys will have to step up,” said coach Tom Vandever.
The two teams will scrimmage informally again on Sunday morning at the Herman Key Jr. Recreation Center from 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Both the Cardinals and the Bobcats will be competing at the Shepherd Shootout in Atlanta the weekend of November 2-4.
